RECREATIONAL THERAPIST

Hannah Arnold

Hannah Arnold is a Recreational Therapist at West Ridge Academy. She brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm from her hometown in Texas, along with her passion and expertise as a Recreational Therapist.

Hannah attended Brigham Young University, Idaho, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She went on to intern in Utah at the Utah State Hospital, Provo, Utah where she helped a diverse collection of people.

Hannah says that therapeutic recreation uses evidence-based practices and activities that address the individual needs of people—especially the youth at West Ridge Academy. Her hope is that she can provide them with knowledge, skills, and resources that they can utilize to enhance their overall well-being along with facing the challenges of life.

She likes the “great atmosphere and energy” at West Ridge Academy, and says, “All of the staff want the best for our students.”

Hannah is happily married and together are raising two dogs—Coco (Miniature Golden-doodle) and Ares (Golden-doodle). She says, “We love our dogs, “kids,” like crazy, and enjoy taking them on walks and hikes all around the area.” Hannah is an avid reader of mystery novels. She also enjoys listening to music and loves photography.
