Stormey Nielsen

Residential Therapist

Stormey was drawn to social work as her profession at a very young age. Though inspired by macro work, Stormey found joy in providing individual therapy while pursuing her Master’s at the University of Utah.

Since then, Stormey has experienced working in residential with foster care youth and juvenile offenders. She has worked with issues surrounding sexual abuse, physical abuse, identity surrounding adoption and race, traumas, depression and other mood disorders.

Stormey works in modalities of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT ), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT ) and CBT.

When she is not working she enjoys time with family and friends, baking, traveling, movies and eating.
